It was the 1980s when the Fantle family picked up parcels of outlying property along the Front Range. One was conveniently located at South Santa Fe Drive and Belleview Avenue, a main east-west route through Littleton and Englewood. A second piece was on Titan Road between by Chatfield Dam and Highlands Ranch. And a third was up north in Weld County, Erie specifically.
For newcomers to the area, it’s hard to imagine that the Front Range was a stretch of open land from north to south, as recently as the turn of the millennium. Infill had come to the suburbs, connecting towns and counties. Along with the new developments came HOA Declarations of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions. Well-to-do residents were accumulating RVs, boats, ski mobiles and more. HOAs were strictly against these recreational vehicles being parked on driveways and cul-de-sacs.
Storage was something people needed for camping equipment, boats, jet skis - you name it.
Businesses too were increasingly relying on storage. Food services, manufacturing, construction and other industries had learned how much delays cost to their business.
So instead of using valuable real estate to store the materials needed to operate on-site, they stored materials at the nearest storage operation.
Turns out that Greg Fantle’s locations were what people needed for business and pleasure vehicles. Fantle’s approach was to make his storage locations accessible 24/7, which had been the limitation of so many storage facilities. Imagine driving your RV back from a two week vacation with the family and hitting a traffic delay on I-70. That meant you couldn’t get the RV to storage until 11pm and finding it was closed until the next day. Fantle sought to provide storage that is convenient, accessible AND geared to both professionals and adventure-seekers.
Centennial Storage’s three locations across the Front Range are just that: convenient, accessible and professional.

Centennial Storage’s Greg Fantle is one of the 71%. That’s according to The Outdoor Industry Association, which reports that 71 percent of Colorado's 5.7 million residents participate in outdoor recreation. Two additional studies showed that the outdoor recreation and tourism industries accounted for $28 billion and $19.7 billion, respectively, in consumer spending in 2019.
Fantle loves his ATV and enjoys snowmobiling in rugged sections of Colorado. He actually found his way into headlines due to an accident that required he put his vehicle in storage until his leg healed.
We welcome our customers to submit photos of their own outdoor recreation activities for posting here on our site. Email your photos to us, fellow outdoorsmen and outdoorswomen! Then check back often to see how your fellow Coloradans are making the most of a Colorado lifestyle. – Greg Fantle, Owner
